What else have I been up to over the past 5 months besides packing, then unpacking, then decorating, painting, painting, and then painting some more, putting way too many needless holes in the wall,
- gaining weight--yuck
- trying to figure out how to stop gaining weight--yuck
- getting the B-Dog adjusted to kindergarten
- learning more than I ever thought I'd need to know about visas and study abroad programs
- reading The Diving Bell and the Butterfly
- trying to cut down on the number of Netflix movies I watch because what human being needs to watch that many movies
- listening to Carla Bruni
- creating newsletters and brochures
- discovering all the super cool templates and clip arton Microsoft's website
- fighting allergies
- spending way too much money on the new house
- did I mention gaining weight--yuck
- trying to get caught up on pictures I've taken since May including a wedding, a tea party, 3 birthday parties, and a ggraduation
- helping my sister get her house cleaned out after it flooded
- reading everything I can by Li Young Le
- enjoying cable...a little too much
- feeling blah, blech, and bored out of my mind because I haven't been investing myself in anything worthwhile
- researching volunteer opportunities in my city so that I can feel like I've investing myself in something worthwhile
- watch the Presidential and Vice Presidential debates
- getting oriented to my new area of town including figuring out some enjoyable walking routes
- trying to convince myself to get off the couch and do something productive
- missing my writing dates
So what have you been up to?
spending too much time on my computer... watching too much mindless TV to fill in the silence..reading Jodi Picoult novels...looking fruitlessly for a job...blogging...screening my calls..isolating...not doing the housework that I need to get caught up on...occasionally getting together w/friends to hang out or watch a DVD...reading about the upcoming elections & getting sick of both sides throwing mud at the other...still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up...playing MahJongg Solitaire...feeling very invisible...not sure what to do with no drama going on in my life...enduring writer's block & that nasty empty page that all writers hit from time to time...not taking care of myself...not calling anyone for help.....too scared to start any new art projects...eating Pop-Tarts like I did when I was a kid.
That's pretty much all that's going on with me these days.

Finishing the first year of my degree, spending money while not earning, collecting dogs - I now have five, joining a yoga class - forgetting that I have joined a yoga class and paid in advance, taking photos, teaching facilitation at University, making peace with myself, going for long walks and listening to the wind, the trees and the rain.

study abroad--for you or your new job?
me: also not feeling invested in anything and wishing inspiration would strike; new siding, roof, deck, and garage door (resulting in much less money); trying to get the hang of Wii; purging photos by the boatload from my hard drive so it is more willing to cooperate with running programs; allowing myself the room to just "be" rather than always having a to-do list

Heeey, I've been doing some of those things, too! The book, The Diving Bell and The Butterfly is a terrific book, isn't it? It was one of my favourite reads this year. I loved the film, too. Did you see it?
As for me, I'm playing catchup with my photography and artwork. It seems that I'm always cleaning house. I'm in a cold weather baking and cooking phase...They'll be Halloween cupcakes on Friday - yum!

Living with my new love in the UK-- Renting out my house to strangers (nice ones)-- selling my stuff-- household things, cars, almost everything-- shifting my future to Cornwall, England--researching visas--opening bank accounts abroad--Starting my first blog-- writing, writing, writing,-- taking tons of photographs--Walking 105 miles through the French, Swiss, and Italian Alps with my sweetie -- Learning to sail-- Traveling through Scotland, Wales, and parts of England I'd never seen--Camping in the freezing cold of wet Scotland-- running on the moor with wild ponies all around--- making time to daydream--
Loving my life like never before!

Quit my job ... took a group of 33 elderly people on an educational trip around Central Europe ... visiting friends & family in Germany & UK ... sold our house (at a loss, yuck) ... road trip from East to West with mother and a friend's teenage daughter ... seven weeks without furniture ... now settling into cozy new home and adjusting to long distance marriage (a little yuck, too, every bit as difficult as we had imagined) ... and while not gaining any more weight, not losing any either ... so also figuring out enjoyable walking routes! Luckily there are some nice ones :)
It is SO nice to see you back here :)
