SPC {Red--1}

I guess I don't know anyone who doesn't like the color red.  Even if it isn't their favorite color they at least like it because, well, how can you not like red.  Red is just a likable color.  And I would think that even those who steer clear of red will admit to liking one of it's close relatives, say pink, or burgundy, or fuchsia.  But I must admit that even when I'm drawn to the color red I still have times that I find it a bit intimidating.  One look at red and my knees shake.  It's a color that holds so much passion, energy, and emotion.  It can be a little overwhelming.  Sure I can wear a ratty red t-shirt with no problem but stick me in a red dress and that's an entirely different story.  The color does something to the chemistry of my brain.  And red undergarments...  There's no doubt black undergarments are sophisticated, sleek and sexy.  Red on the other hand is all those things plus it has the added "grrrrrr" element.  There's just something about it.  All the fire and heat in the color must seep into my skin or something.

And then there are these red shoes.  I'm not a big shoe person.  I don't have a closet full.  The few I have can easily fit on a small closet shelf but of the ones I do have these certainly reign supreme.  When I slip my feet into them I walk differently, I hold my body differently, I move my head differently and I bet, if I were to pay close attention I'd find I even breathe differently with these shoes on.  They have some kind of magical power.  Everything that is sassy and sexy was stitched into these shoes and when they're on my feet I can feel it.  I suddenly feel like, hmmmm, Salma Hayek...  And I'll tell you a little secret--I got them at Payless.  It's the best $15 I ever spent.

You got them at Payless? WOO Hoo! I think Red does have an effect. They link that color also to power, and when I do wear my red undergarments, well um, I can tell a difference to how it makes me feel when I am wearing any other color. By the way, love the tatoo.
